Course Description

The Bachelor of Theology focuses on the academic study of religion, faith traditions, and theological principles. The programme explores subjects such as biblical studies, ethics, church history, pastoral care, and religious leadership. Students learn how religious beliefs influence societies and communities while developing leadership and counselling skills for faith-based settings. Graduates may work in religious ministry, community leadership, counselling, education, or further theological studies.

Admission Requirements

English: Level 4
Life Orientation: Level 4
Level 5 in one of the following subjects (Bus Stud, Cons Stud, Dram Arts, Econ, Geo, Hist, IT, Life Sci, Maths, Maths Lit, Music, Religion, Vis Arts, Any Lang HL/FAL)

Career Opportunities

Minister, Pastor, Priest, Preacher in certain denominations, missionaries, youth counsellors and ethics consultants to businesses. Evangelist, pastoral counsellor, bible translator and missionary worker.
