Application Requirements

For South African Applicants

• Academic Records: Certified copy of your final Grade 11 results if you're currently in Grade 12, or your final Grade 12 certificate if you've completed school.

• Identification: Certified copy of your South African ID.

• Email Address: A valid email address for correspondence.

For International Applicants

• Academic Records: Certified copies of your school-leaving results and academic transcripts.

• Identification: Certified copy of your passport or birth certificate.

• English Proficiency: Proof of English proficiency if English was not the medium of instruction. UJ accepts IELTS (overall score of 6) or TOEFL (average score of 80–104) for undergraduate programs.

• Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of R200. Online applications are free. 

Ensure all documents are certified and scanned before uploading them to the application portal.

How to Apply

UJ offers two methods for application:

Online Application

1. Visit the UJ Application Portal: Go to www.uj.ac.za and navigate to the application section.

2. Create an Account: Register with a valid email address.

3. Complete the Application Form: Fill in your personal details, academic history, and program choices.

4. Upload Documents: Attach all required certified documents.

5. Submit Application: Review and submit your application.

Note: Online applications are free of charge.

Hardcopy Application

If you prefer to apply manually:

1. Download the Application Form: Available on the UJ website.

2. Complete the Form: Fill in all required information.

3. Attach Documents: Include all certified supporting documents.

4. Pay Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of R200 for South African applicants.

5. Submit Application: Deliver or mail the application to the UJ Student Enrolment Centre

Note: Hardcopy applications are subject to the application fee of R200.
