There are two distinct programmes available for 2026, each offering unique regional exposure:
1. Groenkloof National Park & SANBI Pretoria (Gauteng Region)
This programme offers an excellent opportunity for graduates in the heart of Gauteng. You’ll be based at either the SANParks Head Office in Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria, or the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) in Pretoria. The stipend range and qualification requirements for this programme are the same as Programme 1, typically ranging from R6,335.69 to R9,088.37 per month, depending on your NQF level.
Who Can Apply? Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for these highly sought-after internships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen, aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Be currently unemployed.
- Hold a National Diploma, Bachelor's, or Honours Degree (NQF Level 6–8) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution.
- Critically, you must NOT have previously worked in the Public Service or Public Entities, nor have participated in any prior Public Service internship programmes.
- Be available to attend interviews and assessments as required.
