Registration for first-year students opens on 19 January 2026 and closes on 7 February 2026.

Step 1: Get Your Student Portal Login Details (MySIS)
NWU will send your MySIS login details by email from no-reply@nwu.ac.za.
You will receive the email on:

Your personal email used when applying (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)

Your MyNWU Outlook email
You need these details to log in to the Student Portal, where registration and payments are done.
Activate Your MyNWU Email

Set up your MyNWU email as soon as possible

NWU will use this email for all official communication

You can access it via Outlook or webmail

Step 3: Pay the Minimum Registration Fees
You must pay the minimum fees before you can register.

Before starting:

Allow pop-ups for the registration website in your browser settings.
Course Selection Rules
During registration, you may see warnings:

Minimum Credit Conflict: Too few courses selected

Schedule Conflict: Class times overlap

Prerequisite Conflict: Required course not selected
Fix the issue before submitting.
Step 7: Download Proof of Registration
After registration:

Download and save your proof of registration
